The problem began on January 6 when Aimeirim's sister contacted the police to report her disappearance. According to the woman, on that day at around 17:50, Akisheva left for a meeting with a young man, Bakyt Asakeev, and stopped communicating.
After the media circulated alerts about Asakeev and Akisheva, they got in touch through social networks. Asakeev explained that on the day of the disappearance, they decided to spend time together, which led to a misunderstanding. As a result, the young people stated that they would contact Aimeirim's relatives if her sister withdrew the police report.
The Lenin District Internal Affairs Department organized active search operations, during which the location of the couple was established. Asakeev apologized for the situation that arose.
The press service noted that the actions of the young people will be legally assessed in accordance with the legislation of Kyrgyzstan.
Furthermore, the Internal Affairs Department emphasized that when reports of missing persons are received, law enforcement agencies promptly mobilize significant resources to conduct search operations.
“When citizens leave their homes without notifying their relatives of their whereabouts, they mislead them and create grounds for a search. This requires the involvement of police officers and service vehicles that could be used for more important tasks related to maintaining public order and preventing offenses,” the press service of the Internal Affairs Department added.
