According to eyewitness accounts, the incident occurred after neighbors complained about a large number of dogs belonging to one woman. Unknown individuals arrived at her home without identifying themselves, lacking any documents, and without a court order. They climbed over the fence of the private property and opened fire on its territory.
The press service of "Tazalyk" denied the accusations made on social media, claiming that the shooting did not occur on private property.
According to the press service of the Lenin District Internal Affairs Department, the actions were carried out to ensure sanitary safety, and all activities were conducted based on the relevant permits and in accordance with the law.
It was clarified that residents of the MTU "Novopavlovka" had repeatedly complained about an excess of dogs and cats in one of the residential buildings. According to them, this created unsanitary conditions and disturbed the peace of citizens. The owner of the house did not take any measures despite warnings.
“A person who introduced himself as a representative of an animal protection fund also arrived at the scene. He took on the obligation to remove the dogs and clean the area within a week. A corresponding act was drawn up,” the press service of the district police reported.
Nevertheless, the video that appeared online sparked a wave of outrage among social media users.
- “My heart is crying... Barbarians... I can't find the words, people are behaving like soulless beings.”
- “The shooters should be held accountable and imprisoned,” commenters write.
- “The employees are helping the shooters by removing people so they won't interfere with their atrocities. How is this possible? They are in collusion with them, shooting in the yard! Stop!” users express their dissatisfaction.

- “Who gave your employees the right to prohibit video recording? Isn't it time to teach them at least the basics of the law? We don't expect anything more from them,” commenters note.
- “If such actions go unpunished, it could mean that any of us could find ourselves in a similar situation. Today it's a dog, and tomorrow what? Where are the limits of their authority?” social media users write.
Journalist 24.kg contacted Irina Krasnova, the owner of the house. She reported that two dogs were shot right in the yard, and several animals were injured. Irina also noted that she has a report from a veterinary clinic stating that the cause of death of the dogs was gunshot wounds.
