Real estate was registered in the names of trusted persons
In Bishkek, S.M.A., the owner of a chain of pawnshops, was detained, according to the press center of the State National Security Committee (GKNB).
As reported by official sources, the businessman engaged in illegal activities, profiting from the difficult financial situation of citizens. He provided loans on usurious terms with high interest rates, which made it impossible for clients to repay them on time.
Considering the vulnerability of his clients, S.M.A. developed schemes for the seizure of both movable and immovable property, including residential premises, land plots, and commercial properties. Through controlled notaries and other affiliated individuals, he registered the property in the names of people close to him. In some cases, the suspect used threats and other forms of pressure on citizens.
Based on the collected evidence, a criminal case was initiated against S.M.A., and he was placed in custody in the GKNB detention center. The investigation is ongoing.
