The arrest took place in Cholpon-Ata
As a result of operational activities, a citizen of Kyrgyzstan, S.U.E., was detained for stealing cars using threats based on his alleged family ties with President Sadyr Japarov and the head of the GKNB, Kamchybek Tashiev. This was reported by the press service of the GKNB.
According to the special services, S.U. took possession of two cars: a 2022 Toyota Tundra worth $65,000 and a 2011 Mercedes-Benz A-Class valued at $15,000. He carried out these actions while covering himself with his fabricated connections to high-ranking officials.
When the legitimate owner of the cars demanded their return, the fraudster refused and threatened physical harm, citing his connections with the country's leadership. During one of the meetings, he even showed family photos as proof of his claims.
A criminal case was initiated against S.U. under part 4 of Article 209 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. On December 27, he was detained in Cholpon-Ata and placed in the temporary detention facility of the GKNB.
