The investigation has established that Junusaliev, using his connections in the State Committee for National Security, fraudulently extorted money from the head of one of the companies, receiving a total of $390,000 under the pretext of providing protection against possible inspections.

The detention took place on December 22 as part of a criminal case under the article on fraud, after which Junusaliev was placed in the temporary detention facility of the State Committee for National Security.

Investigative actions are currently ongoing.

Ramis Junusaliev took office as president of the Kyrgyzstan Kok-Boru Federation in 2023, but was replaced in 2024 by Kurmankul Zulushiev, who previously held the position of Attorney General. Later, the federation was headed by Aibek Abylkasymov.
