Former Head of the 9th Service of the State Committee for National Security, Major General Joomart Boshkoev, has passed away

Major General Boshkoev Joomart Terbishalievich, a veteran of the national security agencies, has passed away, as reported by the press service of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB). 
The tragic news of his death came on December 18. 
Joormart Boshkoev was born on November 19, 1949, in Talas. In 1970, he graduated from the Tashkent Higher Combined Arms Command School named after V.I. Lenin. From 1981 to 1998, he served in the national security agencies of the Kyrgyz Republic, where he held various leadership positions. Among his achievements was heading the State Protection Administration, now known as the 9th Service (Protection Service) of the GKNB. 
After retiring, Boshkoev led the Public Association "Council of Veterans of State Protection." 
His contribution to strengthening national security was recognized with numerous departmental awards and commendations.
