According to the SCNS, on December 8 and 10, 2025, as part of the investigation into a criminal case regarding abuse of official authority, two former heads of the Inspection Department of the central office of the STS — A.M. and U.S. — were detained.
It has been established that the detainees acted in collusion with the former chairman of the STS under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, Altynbek Abduvapov, extorting money from entrepreneurs and abusing their official powers.
According to the investigation's version, A.M. and U.S. were the main organizers of this corruption scheme related to the receipt and transfer of funds.
Currently, the detainees are held in the temporary detention facility (TDF) of the SCNS. Investigative and operational actions aimed at identifying and holding accountable other participants in the scheme are ongoing.
It is worth noting that Altynbek Abduvapov, the former head of the STS, was detained in December 2024 on suspicion of fraud related to the use of electronic waybills.
