Most of these marriages are between representatives of different ethnic groups, such as Uighurs and Dungans, and citizens of China of the same ethnic background.
Out of the total number, only 44 marriages were concluded between representatives of the Kyrgyz titular nation and Chinese citizens (Han). Moreover, most of them have left the country for permanent residence in China. These marital unions do not affect the overall demographic situation in Kyrgyzstan.
The SCNS also warned that actions aimed at inciting interethnic, racial, national, or religious hatred may lead to criminal liability.
