The employees of the State National Security Committee (GKNB) detained a man named S.U.E., who is suspected of large-scale fraud. This was reported by the press service of the agency.
According to the GKNB, during operational activities, it was established that the detainee was posing as a person with family connections to the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Chairman of the GKNB. He took possession of vehicles: a 2022 Toyota Tundra worth $65,000 and a 2011 Mercedes-Benz A-Class valued at $15,000.
It is reported that when the legitimate owner attempted to reclaim his vehicles, S.U.E. refused, claiming that his connections with high-ranking officials guaranteed him immunity. He also threatened and claimed he had the ability to resolve various issues, supporting his words by showing family photos with the country's leadership.
In connection with this fact, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 209, Part 4 (fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The detention took place on December 27, 2025, in Cholpon-Ata, located in the Issyk-Kul region.
At the moment, S.U.E. has been placed in the temporary detention facility of the GKNB, and investigative actions are ongoing to clarify all the circumstances of the case.
