The victim reported: “The case is closed, the punishment consisted of compensation and four weeks in jail. I will let it go, but if the lesson is not learned, life will set everything right.”
The incident took place on the night of January 10 at one of the bars in Bali. 27-year-old Karina Fadeeva, a blogger and photographer, was vacationing with friends. She claims she did not engage in conflict with other patrons; however, when their group was about to leave the establishment, a heavy object was thrown at her, causing her to lose consciousness. It later turned out that a metal table lamp, thrown by Gulsesim Altaybekova, hit Karina in the head. She was detained shortly thereafter.
