
According to information provided by the police, the woman filed a report on February 5, stating that the incident occurred on October 15 of last year. The husband first beat her and then doused her with gasoline and set her on fire.
Initial data from law enforcement indicated that both spouses sustained burns, and an interrogation did not take place due to their serious condition.



It later became clear that the man had been blackmailing his wife, threatening to harm their children, and demanding that she claim the incident was an accident. The woman was hospitalized in Bishkek for two months and only told the truth to her mother after her husband exhibited violence again.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident under the article "Causing serious harm to health," and the suspect has been detained.
According to the Ombudsman Institute, the man who committed the arson works in the Talas city administration.
It has been reported that the victim has burns covering about 60% of her body surface and requires further treatment. Currently, the woman is in Bishkek with her children.
It is also reported that she needs not only medical assistance but also psychological support.
