After the publication of Epstein's archive, the names of the people he interacted with, as well as the beneficiaries of his estate, became known. In a document prepared two days before his death, it was stated that his main heir was to be a dentist from Belarus named Karina Shulyak. Epstein intended to marry her, and she was the last person to communicate with him before his passing. In his will, he left her tens of millions of dollars; however, it is unclear whether these funds have been transferred to her account, and if not, whether this will be possible in the future, as reported by Meduza.

Jeffrey Epstein was found dead on August 10, 2019, in his cell in a New York jail, where he was detained on charges of sexual exploitation and trafficking, including of minors. His death was officially ruled a suicide, although there are many theories about possible murder. Two days before his death, he signed a 32-page will listing his heirs.

Initially, Epstein's estate was estimated at nearly $600 million, but in court documents from 2025, the estimate was reduced to $127 million. In the will, the financier distributed $288 million and a number of real estate properties, as reported by ABC News, which analyzed the document.

Beneficiaries of Epstein's Estate

According to Epstein's wishes, his estate was to be divided among more than forty beneficiaries, including his brother Mark, his friend Ghislaine Maxwell (who was sentenced to 20 years for recruiting minors for sexual purposes), as well as employees, such as his personal pilot Larry Visoski. Some beneficiaries in the document were assigned pseudonyms.

According to the trust agreement, Ghislaine Maxwell and Mark Epstein were to receive $10 million each. Accountant Richard Kahn and attorney Darren Indyke, who signed the agreement and became its executors, were to receive $25 million and $50 million, respectively. The main heir, according to this document, was recognized as Karina Shulyak, who was stated to receive $100 million, 48 diamonds, and Epstein's ring, as well as his properties, including apartments in Paris and New York, a ranch in New Mexico, and Little Saint James—a private island of Epstein's in the Caribbean where his parties were held.

It is assumed that now, more than six years after the financier's death, Karina Shulyak resides in New York. However, it remains unclear whether she has received her inheritance, and if so, in what amount. The New York Times notes that Epstein's estate has likely diminished after tax payments and victim compensations. Attorney Daniel Weiner, representing the executors of the will Richard Kahn and Darren Indyke, stated that none of the beneficiaries will receive any funds until all estate requirements are met, including compensations to Epstein's victims. According to Weiner, Kahn and Indyke have already paid out $170 million.
