On November 5, residents of Earth will be able to observe the largest and brightest supermoon of this year. This is reported by The Guardian.
On this day, the Moon will come closer to our planet at a distance of less than 357,000 kilometers, making it appear 8% larger and 16% brighter than usual.
Astronomers explain that a supermoon occurs when a full moon coincides with the moment the Moon is at perigee—the closest point to Earth in its orbit.
People around the world, including Kyrgyzstan, will be able to observe the supermoon. In Bishkek, the Moon will rise at approximately 21:50 local time, and it will be most beautiful at the moment of its rise.
It is worth noting that this is the last supermoon of 2025, and it can be seen even with the naked eye in clear weather.
