According to Google Trends data, residents of the United Kingdom are actively planning their vacations: in the last three months, the number of searches for the phrase "vacation 2026" has increased by 78%. This is reported by Selling Travel.

In light of the growing interest in unusual travel, the British tour operator Wild Frontiers, known for its adventure tours, has published a list of 16 destinations that are expected to be in demand in 2026.

Among these destinations are: Kyrgyzstan, Iraq, Tanzania, South Korea, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Japan, Oman, South America (including Chile, Argentina, and Patagonia), Kashmir (India), Georgia, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Pakistan, and Ecuador.
Interestingly, the number of tour bookings to Kyrgyzstan has more than doubled compared to the previous year.
This surge in interest in Kyrgyzstan is largely attributed to the upcoming World Nomad Games, which will take place from August 31 to September 6, 2026. This event, focused on traditional sports and the culture of Central Asia, according to company representatives, will draw attention to the unique nature and rich nomadic traditions of the country.

Wild Frontiers CEO Claire Tobin noted: "Overcrowding at popular tourist spots is one of the most serious issues in the industry. Therefore, it is encouraging to see more people starting to look for new, lesser-known destinations. Exploring less-visited regions not only reduces the pressure on overcrowded places but also brings significant economic benefits to developing destinations."
