They aim to create a small celebration for new mothers
In Russia, an initiative has begun where bloggers and activists greet single mothers with newborns in various cities after their discharge from the maternity hospital.
This campaign has been joined by bloggers from Yakutsk — Maria Rozhina and Nariya Olesova, as reported by SakhaDay.ru.
“Three days ago, we published a video in which we expressed our readiness to support new mothers. The reaction was amazing. Many girls faced the situation of leaving alone with a child. The process of leaving the maternity hospital, including dressing the baby and going down the stairs with bags, takes time. Often, taxi drivers simply leave without waiting,” shared Maria Rozhina.
She and her sister are eagerly awaiting calls from the girls.
“We promise to organize a small celebration with flowers and balloons. Then we will take them home for free. This can be done without drawing unnecessary attention,” added the blogger.
