At the exhibition in the Grand Palais museum in Paris, models of six new stained glass windows for the Notre-Dame Cathedral were presented. Each of them measures 7 meters in height and 4 meters in width, allowing for an appreciation of their real scale according to the organizers.

These stained glass windows, titled D’un seul souffle (“In One Breath”), were created by artist Claire Taburet. Each one illustrates a biblical verse dedicated to the holiday of Pentecost, an idea proposed by the archdiocese, as noted by AFP. The exhibition will run until March 15, 2026, after which the stained glass windows will be installed in the south aisle of the cathedral.

In developing the project for the new stained glass windows, the focus was on modernity, which initially caused dissatisfaction among the public. It is worth noting that the original 19th-century stained glass windows, installed under the guidance of architect Eugène Viollet-le-Duc, remained intact after the fire. An appeal against the decision to replace the stained glass windows was rejected by the administrative court.

It is important to mention that on April 15, 2019, Notre-Dame suffered from a massive fire that lasted more than 12 hours. As a result of the incident, the spire and one-third of the cathedral's roof collapsed. Five years after the restoration was completed, the cathedral opened its doors to visitors.
