The press service of the Ministry of Culture reported that this competition was organized as part of the ODA project for 2023-2026, which aims to "Develop cultural tourism through the creation of traditional handicraft products and improve their digital marketing capabilities." The project is being implemented in cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Korea.
During the event, welcoming speeches were made by: the First Deputy Minister of Culture, Information and Youth Policy, Soyuzbek Nadyrbekov; ICHCAP representative Kim Doksun; the Ambassador of Korea to Kyrgyzstan, Kim Kwangjae; and Sabira Soltongeldieva, the Secretary-General of the National Commission for UNESCO Affairs.
The main task of the competition was to create innovative tourist products that combine traditional Kyrgyz ornaments and symbolism with modern design solutions. Participants in the competition presented models of souvenirs and everyday items, aiming to reflect the cultural significance of traditional elements using new approaches.
