“In the morning, many of us rush to work and have to freeze outside with our children, waiting for the kindergarten to open. Is it impossible to solve this problem? Most parents are unable to convey their point of view. In the decision-making process regarding the change in the schedule, it seems that the working hours of adults were not taken into account. In Kyrgyzstan, most companies start their activities at 08:00-08:30, and accordingly, those who drop off their children start to be late. It would be reasonable if kindergartens opened a little earlier,” they express their concerns.
The editorial office sent a request to the education department of the Bishkek city administration for a comment on this issue.
“Kindergartens operate in accordance with the Education Law and work within a 10-hour workday. Therefore, their main schedule is set from 08:00 to 18:00. However, it is worth noting that the administrations of preschool institutions are recommended to create duty groups that can accept children a little earlier than 08:00,” the department reported.
