In Bishkek, evacuation plans in case of fire have been developed for 119 schools and 124 kindergartens. This was reported by Vice Mayor Victoria Mozgacheva at a meeting of the permanent commission of the city council on social issues.

According to her, each educational organization is equipped with an alarm button, for which an annual budget of 15 million soms is allocated.

“Fire alarms have been installed in 116 schools and 118 kindergartens. In several educational institutions in the Lenin district and in three preschool facilities, work on the installation of alarms is ongoing. The Ministry of Emergency Situations regularly checks the proper installation of fire boxes, hydrants, and other equipment. Fire drills are conducted according to a set schedule. Currently, no remarks or complaints have been recorded; everything is being carried out in accordance with the legislation,” noted Victoria Mozgacheva.

She also added that all educational institutions are insured in accordance with current legislation.

The Vice Mayor mentioned an incident in May 2025, when smoke appeared in the director's office at school No. 63. Later, the State Insurance Organization reimbursed the repair costs.

“There are also teams of young rescuers and fire brigades in schools that constantly undergo training and compete in a playful manner to enhance their skills,” added Victoria Mozgacheva.
