The Cabinet of Ministers issued order No. 1156-t, which introduces changes to the procedure for fulfilling the country's obligations on the international stage regarding the collection of alimony.

According to this order, the central authority responsible for implementing the Convention on the International Recovery of Child Support and Other Forms of Family Maintenance is designated as the State Enforcement Service under the General Prosecutor's Office.

These measures were taken to ensure the fulfillment of the republic's international obligations and within the framework of the presidential decree "On Measures to Improve the System of Enforcement Proceedings and the Activities of Judicial Executors in the Kyrgyz Republic" dated June 23, 2025, No. 187.

The Hague Convention on the International Recovery of Child Support and Other Forms of Family Maintenance was adopted on November 23, 2007. This document fully complies with the norms of the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic and does not contradict international agreements that have come into force in accordance with the country's legislation.

The main goal of the convention is to create an effective international mechanism for the collection of child support and other forms of family maintenance. This is achieved through the establishment of a universal system of interaction between state authorities, ensuring the accessibility of applications for alimony decisions, guaranteeing the recognition and enforcement of such decisions, as well as implementing effective measures for the prompt enforcement of alimony decisions.
