At a recent meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh Committee on Constitutional Legislation, Deputy Kurmankul Zulyshev expressed dissatisfaction with the proposed versions of the national anthem, stating that they do not meet the necessary quality standards for both musical accompaniment and lyrics.

Zulyshev noted that during the discussion, all three versions of the anthem were analyzed, but none of them demonstrated significant advantages that could justify their adoption as a national symbol.

In his opinion, the music of the anthem should be created by true masters of their craft, rather than by authors of "insufficiently quality works." Even the presence of high state awards for composers does not guarantee that their works will be accepted by society appropriately.

The deputy also added that both the text and the music of the anthem in its current rendition appear unfinished and do not convey the depth and significance that a national symbol should possess. In this regard, he believes that there are currently no grounds for choosing one of the proposed options.

"If the anthem truly surpasses the other options — in both music and lyrics — then it should be accepted," Zulyshev emphasized, noting that this is his personal opinion.

He also reported that the discussion is ongoing, and all participants in the process have the opportunity to express their opinions; however, the final decision should be made collectively at a parliamentary meeting.

During the meeting, the committee reviewed three versions of the anthem and decided to reject all of them.
