He was born in Pavlodar, spent his childhood in Ekibastuz, and then returned to Pavlodar. For the last four years before his journey, Denis lived in Almaty. Bicycling became a part of his life about 11-12 years ago, and since then he has gradually increased the distances of his rides.

The idea to undertake such a trip came to him in winter when he felt the need for something significant, not just an ordinary hike. “I wanted something truly epic,” Denis said.

After carefully selecting routes in Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan that did not evoke the desired emotions, he decided to try to reach Everest. Preparation took about six months.

The journey covered thousands of kilometers and six countries:

Denis spent most of his time traveling alone, which turned out to be comfortable for him. However, by the end of the journey, he realized that he had reached his limit of comfortable solitude.

“At first, I felt great being alone, but by the end of the journey, I started to feel mixed emotions: excitement from reaching Everest and a slight emptiness from completing my goal,” the traveler shared his impressions.
