The directorate responsible for managing sanatorium-resort and tourist facilities operates under the auspices of the Presidential Administration and with the support of the State National Security Committee (GKNB). It is actively working on the return of land plots and facilities that were previously illegally transferred to private individuals back into state ownership. As a result of this work, 25 hectares of land and buildings with a total area of 5,389 square meters have been returned to state ownership.

The directorate was established on March 25, 2024. It received 15 out of 16 facilities that were listed in the inventory approved by the Presidential Administration and the Federation of Trade Unions of Kyrgyzstan.

Many of these facilities had not received proper maintenance for a long time and were in a state of disrepair, which made them unprofitable and led to the accumulation of significant debts. At the time of their transfer to the directorate, the debts of the sanatorium-resort institutions for various mandatory payments amounted to about 90 million soms, but it has now been fully repaid, and the facilities are now operating profitably thanks to effective management.

In 2023, the resort and sanatorium facilities under the control of the Federation of Trade Unions of Kyrgyzstan (FPSC) earned 248 million soms, excluding the Workers' Health Fund (FOT). By the end of 2024, the revenues of these facilities reached 486 million soms. Initially, the target for 2025 was set at 550 million soms, but the actual revenue amounted to 779 million soms, which exceeds the planned level by 141%.
