
According to the investigation, on January 7, around 10:00 PM, the victim was forcibly shoved into a Daewoo Lanos car in the territory of Kyzyl-Kiya. One of the accused, known as citizen O., along with three accomplices, took the young man to an abandoned bus depot, where they threatened him with a knife and demanded 50,000 soms.
Furthermore, according to the official statement, the criminals:
- took the victim's iPhone 8;
- extorted 5,000 soms through intermediaries;
- under threats, forced him to top up the balance of one of the numbers by another 5,000 soms via WhatsApp;
- continued to demand the remaining amount.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 208 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic (extortion).



As a result of the operational activities conducted, officers of the Drug Trafficking Control Department of the Batken Regional Internal Affairs Department detained the suspects on January 27. All six, including 20-year-old M.O., as well as 22-year-olds G.N., M.S., S.J., and 24-year-old A.B., were caught red-handed while receiving another 20,000 soms in the village of Kaltak.
Three of the detainees — M.O., G.N., and M.S. — have been placed in a temporary detention facility in accordance with the provisions of Articles 96–97 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The investigation is ongoing.
