A man has been detained in Bishkek who, according to the police, threatened a witness with a gun and demanded that they change their testimony in a criminal case.
As reported by the Internal Affairs Department of the Lenin District, in December 2025, citizen A.I. stated that unknown individuals had beaten him and threatened him with a weapon. Later, the investigation established that the conflict was related to a case involving the illegal trafficking of potent medicinal substances.
Previously, A.I. had been detained by the SBON officers and voluntarily handed over tablets, after which he reported that he had purchased them from a woman born in 1995. She was detained and placed in a temporary detention facility.
After this, according to the investigation, the husband of the detained woman — citizen N.A. — began to threaten A.I. with a gun and demanded that he change his testimony.
Criminal cases have been initiated on charges of "Hooliganism" and "Threat or violence in connection with pre-trial proceedings." The suspect has been detained and placed in a temporary detention facility. The investigation is ongoing.
