At the joint meeting of the deputy groups "Ala-Too" and "Eldik" on January 30, Primov asked the Minister of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration, Kanat Sagynbaev, about the price of a bag of flour.

The minister's response was unconvincing: "Probably around 1,500 soms."

Primov immediately pointed out that the minister was mistaken, explaining that the price of a bag of flour ranges from 1,700 to 2,500 soms. He also noted that the minimum consumer basket amounts to 8,700 soms. "How can one survive on 6,000 soms when a family of five cannot receive benefits, and the cost of the basket itself exceeds this amount?" the deputy questioned. "The economy of our country shows positive dynamics; the GDP will reach about 2 trillion by 2025. But the benefits you provide are based on data from 2020. Five years have passed, and inflation during this time is 9.5% in 2025!" he emphasized.

Furthermore, Primov noted that low-income families do not receive benefits if they own transportation, including old combines with a lifespan of no more than 20 years.

"But a combine is seasonal work; you can't earn a living from it year-round. Can the owner use it as a taxi?" the deputy exclaimed, calling for a revision of the criteria for granting benefits.
