Russian veterinarian Karen Dallakyan arrives in Bishkek to save rare birds

From February 2 to 6, Bishkek will become a platform for international humanitarian cooperation as part of the volunteer initiative "Mission GOOD." This year, the ninth visit of the program will be dedicated to the protection and rehabilitation of wild birds. The main event of the initiative will take place at the "Zoo Bishkek" center under the guidance of the renowned Russian veterinarian Karen Dallakyan, president of the "Save Me" foundation.

Dallakyan, a recognized specialist in wild animals, will conduct a series of complex surgeries and consultations for birds affected by poachers and accidents in nature. This experience will provide Kyrgyz ornithologists and veterinarians with a unique opportunity to gain knowledge from an expert with 25 years of experience, whose methods help return even the most severely injured birds to the wild. Preserving bird populations is critically important for the ecosystem of Kyrgyzstan and is among the priorities in the field of environmental safety.

Since 2021, the "Mission GOOD" program, organized by Rossotrudnichestvo and the Dobro.rf Association, has covered more than 20 countries and provided assistance to thousands of people and animals. The current visit demonstrates the deepening cooperation between Russia and Kyrgyzstan, where the exchange of professional knowledge in veterinary medicine is becoming key to saving the unique fauna of the region.
