In Kyrgyzstan, the Soviet legacy and statehood are being rethought

To understand the modern political structure of the country, a scientific reflection on historical experience is required.

A round table dedicated to the centenary of the Kyrgyz ASSR was held at the National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan. The event, titled "100 Years of the Kyrgyz ASSR: Experience and Perspectives," was chaired by State Secretary Arslan Koichiev and took place at the Institute of History, Archaeology, and Ethnology named after B. Jamgerchinov.

At the meeting, experts, including leading historians and political scientists, examined archival materials that help understand how national identity was formed during the Soviet era.

Koichiev emphasized that a thorough study of the events of 1926 is key to understanding the modern political landscape of the country. At the end of the meeting, participants proposed several conceptual initiatives aimed at a comprehensive study of historical lessons in the context of Kyrgyzstan's future.
