Technical inspection in Kyrgyzstan: control has shifted from the Ministry of Internal Affairs to the Presidential Administration

The President of the country has initiated important changes in the vehicle control system

Sadyr Japarov, the President of Kyrgyzstan, has approved a significant reform in the state control system for motor vehicles. According to recent amendments to decree No. 388, the functions of technical inspection are now being transferred from the Ministry of Internal Affairs to the Presidential Administration.

A key element of this reform will be the State Center for Vehicle Registration and Driver Licensing, which will replace the technical center under the State Traffic Safety Department.

According to information from the presidential administration, the redistribution of powers is aimed at combating corruption and creating a more transparent digital platform.

The new rules came into effect immediately after the official publication of the relevant document.

It is expected that concentrating resources in a single civil center will help stabilize prices for services and improve safety on the country's roads.
