More than 120 rescuers and local residents are involved in the operation
In the Kara-Kuldzhin region, in the village of Zhulgur, search operations continue to locate a 37-year-old man who was trapped under the snow avalanche. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
As of February 3, the search involves an operational group from the Emergency Situations Department of the Osh region, 12 rescuers from the Republican Separate Rescue Unit with drones, rescuers from the local Emergency Situations Department, police officers, as well as representatives of the local administration and residents of the area. A total of 126 people are involved in the operation. Specialized equipment is being used to clear the paths.
The avalanche that caused the incident occurred on January 31. The press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations also noted that earlier warnings had been issued about the potential for avalanches in the area.
