The avalanche descended in six locations
A snow avalanche occurred on the Karakol–Enilchek highway in the Ak-Suu district of the Issyk-Kul region. As a result of this incident, traffic on this section has been temporarily halted, as reported by the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
According to the agency's information, the avalanche descended in six different locations on the road sections between 76 and 82 km. Specialists from DEP No. 11 are working at the scene to clear the road.
Additionally, a snowstorm is also observed at the Chon-Ashuu pass.
In light of the situation, the ministry strongly recommends that drivers planning trips to mountainous areas adhere to traffic rules and take current weather conditions into account.
