On February 3, 2026, a meeting of the interdepartmental commission (IDC) was held at the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic, with representatives from over ten different ministries and deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh participating.

Important issues concerning the ecological situation in the country were on the agenda.

In particular, topics such as the implementation of an electronic taxi service in Bishkek, the current state of gasification in the capital and Chui region, as well as the development of an air quality monitoring system, including the installation and modernization of sensors, were discussed.

An important point of the meeting was the review of the progress in implementing the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution "On Certain Measures for the Protection of Atmospheric Air" No. 639 dated October 6, 2025.

As a result of the commission's work, it was decided to create an interdepartmental working group led by the Bishkek city administration to develop a network of charging stations for electric vehicles in the capital.

The National Investment Fund was also instructed to take into account the recommendations of Jogorku Kenesh deputy Dastan Bekeshev in the implementation of the ecological taxi project to ensure convenience and accessibility of the service for people with disabilities.

In addition, the company OsOO "Gazprom Kyrgyzstan" was recommended to expedite the implementation of the gasification program in Bishkek and other regions of the country. IDC members emphasized the need for a comprehensive approach to addressing issues related to improving air quality, highlighting the importance of the prompt implementation of ecological projects and strengthening control over the execution of adopted decisions.
