A new enterprise has been opened in Tokmok, where sewing workshops can submit their textile waste for recycling. This was announced by Daniyar Amangeldiev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, during a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh.

He emphasized that the incineration of such waste negatively impacts the state of the environment.

“The Ministry of Natural Resources is actively addressing environmental issues, and we already have the necessary equipment. Drones are used to detect violations, such as the emission of black smoke. The environmental inspection works closely with the city administration and law enforcement agencies, which allows for fines to be imposed on violators,” he added.

Amangeldiev also noted that recycling textile waste from the garment industry will allow for the reuse of fabrics, which is a more preferable option than incineration.
