The competition will be held in the following categories:
- "Prose" - includes novels, novellas, and short story collections;
- "Poetry" - poems and poetry collections;
- "Journalism" - articles and journalistic works;
- "Children's and Youth Literature" - novels, novellas, short stories, and poetry collections;
- "Literature on the Formation of Kyrgyz Statehood";
- "Literature on Culture and Art" - album-catalogs, photo albums, and other formats.
Authors aged 18 and over may participate in the competition. Works submitted for the competition must not have been previously published.
A collection of the best works will be published with the support of the ministry.
Format for submitted works: Microsoft Word (A4), font Times New Roman, size 14, line spacing - 1, total volume not exceeding 500 pages.
The application for participation must be completed and sent between February 16 and April 13, 2026, through the district state administrations at the place of residence with the note "For the competition '40 Districts - 40 Books'" to the email address of the secretariat: [email protected].
