The construction company "Emacom" has announced its insolvency, stating that it lacks the funds to complete current projects. This statement was made by the Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services Nurdana Oruntaev during a "government hour" meeting in the Jogorku Kenesh.

According to the minister, the company has problematic projects both in Bishkek and Osh. Some of them are at the stage of being unfinished, while others are completed but not yet put into operation. Oruntaev noted that since last year, the ministry has been working on putting completed houses into operation, which have already been occupied by residents. In several cases, issues regarding such projects have been successfully resolved.

As for the construction sites where work has been suspended, the minister reported that the president has given relevant instructions, and decisions will be made in the near future.

The head of the Ministry of Construction urged citizens to carefully check developers before purchasing real estate and to avoid investing in companies that lack financial resources.

It is worth noting that issues surrounding the company "Emacom" have been discussed for several years. In September 2024, the capital's police detained the former director of the company and ex-deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh, Emilbek Jusupov. This occurred against the backdrop of clients' appeals to law enforcement agencies.

According to the police, the investors suffered damages exceeding 60 million soms. A criminal case has been initiated regarding this fact under Article 209 of the Criminal Code for "Fraud on a particularly large scale."
