Supplies of School Textbooks Discussed by Relevant Agencies of Kyrgyzstan and Russia

A video conference was held at the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic with Russian colleagues, during which issues related to the supply and adaptation of school textbooks in the Russian language and literature were discussed. The Russian publishing house "Prosveshchenie" also participated in the discussion.

Participants of the meeting reviewed the progress of adapting textbooks for students in the 3rd, 4th, 6th, and 8th grades who are studying in Russian and Kyrgyz languages.

By the fall of 2025, it is planned to deliver 651,000 textbooks on the programs "Russian Language and Reading" and "Russian Language" for the 1st, 2nd, 5th, and 7th grades to schools in Kyrgyzstan where instruction is conducted in Russian.

The stages of delivery for the remaining textbooks were also discussed. These include materials on "Russian Language and Reading" for the 1st, 2nd, and 5th grades of schools with Kyrgyz as the language of instruction, as well as "Russian Literature" for the 5th and 7th grades of Russian-speaking schools and "Russian and World Literature" for the 7th grades with Kyrgyz as the language of instruction.
