Nursultan Kenesbekov won the silver medal in the 3000 meters, clocking a time of 7:55.06 on the second day of the competition. His compatriot Jusup Sulayman uulu finished the same distance in fifth place with a result of 8:23.71.
Other members of the Kyrgyzstan team also showed their results: Iskender Chokayev finished 10th in the 800 meters with a time of 1:56.83, while Ruslan Litovsky took 14th place in the 400 meters, completing it in 49.57 seconds.
Kenesbekov's achievement was the best for the Kyrgyz team at this championship and brought the country a silver medal at the continental championship.
