The aid transfer took place for the Batken region



On February 11, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) transferred road machinery and equipment to Kyrgyzstan, with the total amount of aid being 700 million yen. The ceremony took place in Batken and was highlighted in the agency's official statement.




This assistance was provided as part of the implementation of the "Project for Improving Equipment for Road Maintenance and Pavement in the Batken Region."

The event dedicated to the transfer of the grant aid was attended by high-ranking officials, including the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Japan to the Kyrgyz Republic, Hiroshi Ryuichi, and the permanent representative of JICA in the country, Kotaro. Also present were the Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications, Beknazar Bazaraliev, the presidential representative in the Batken region, Aibek Shamenov, and other official representatives.




The transferred machinery and equipment will facilitate the maintenance and repair of roads in the Batken region, which, in turn, will help the development of the region's economy and the entire republic, noted JICA.
