According to information received from Kazakhstan, comedian Nurlan Saburov may become the subject of an investigation under the article "Mercenarism" of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Deputy Attorney General Galymzhan Koigeldiev confirmed this information, noting that the National Security Committee intends to clarify the circumstances related to the accusations against him regarding assistance to Russian military personnel.

Koigeldiev specified that the question of a possible investigation of Saburov on charges of mercenarism falls within the jurisdiction of the country's National Security Committee.

Information about the comedian's possible assistance to the fighters of the "Wagner Legion Istra" became available after a video surfaced online, which drew public attention. Such actions in Kazakhstan may lead to criminal prosecution.

According to the Finratings portal, activist Marat Turymbetov submitted a request to the General Prosecutor's Office to review the video in which, it is alleged, Saburov is handing over equipment to Russian military personnel.

According to Article 170 "Mercenarism" of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, such actions are punishable by imprisonment for a term of 7 to 12 years.

It is also worth noting that Nurlan Saburov has been banned from entering Russia for a period of 50 years.
