In 2026, the Open Joint Stock Company "National Electric Network of Kyrgyzstan" plans to acquire 268 transformers. This information was provided by the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the ministry's data, as part of the preparation for the heating season of 2026-2027, there will be an increase in capacity at substations of both high and low voltage across the country.
At 20 high-voltage substations with voltages of 35 and 110 kV, an increase in the capacity of power transformers by 256 MVA is expected. The distribution by regions is as follows:
- City of Bishkek — 2 units;
- Jalal-Abad Region — 5 units;
- Issyk-Kul Region — 5 units;
- Naryn Region — 2 units;
- Talas Region — 2 units;
- Chui Region — 4 units.
Additionally, to improve service quality and ensure stable electricity supply in the 10/0.4 kV networks, 248 transformers will be installed and modernized, resulting in an increase in capacity by 107 MVA.
The distribution of new transformers by regions will be as follows:
- City of Bishkek — 46 units;
- Osh Region — 46 units;
- Talas Region — 42 units;
- Jalal-Abad Region PES — 29 units;
- Issyk-Kul Region — 28 units;
- Naryn Region — 27 units;
- Batken Region — 22 units;
- Chui Region — 8 units.
