The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia emphasized the importance of harmonizing educational programs and the involvement of relevant agencies in cooperation with Kyrgyzstan.
During the "government hour" in the State Duma, Sergey Lavrov, serving as the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, commented on the development of interaction with the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of education.
In response to a question from Alena Arshinova, chairwoman of the Council of the ANO "Eurasia," about the possibilities of creating a unified educational space, the minister noted that educational standards fall within the realm of national sovereignty and require a respectful approach.
Lavrov reported that a project between Russia and Kyrgyzstan is currently being implemented, which was initiated by the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov. This project includes the harmonization of educational programs for both schools and universities. He added that if the project yields positive results, similar initiatives could be proposed to other CIS countries.
Moreover, the minister noted that the ANO "Eurasia" is participating in the project, and coordination is being carried out by the Ministry of Education of Russia. Lavrov assured that the Russian Foreign Ministry will continue its work in the field of educational initiatives, including programs related to the promotion of the Russian language and international cooperation.
Alena Arshinova, in turn, expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia for supporting various projects, including humanitarian initiatives and cooperation with the Kyrgyz Republic.
