Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized that investments in the education sector are the foundation for the country's development.
As part of his working trip to the Osh region, the chairman of the cabinet of ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev, participated in the opening ceremony of a new school in the village of Zhylandy, located in the Uzgen district.
The school, built with funds from the republican budget amounting to 152 million soms, is designed for 275 students and is equipped with modern classrooms, a library, a cafeteria, and necessary infrastructure. The head of the cabinet noted that the previous building served the village for about five decades.
At the opening, Kasymaliev emphasized that education remains the most important state priority.
"Knowledge, not power, defines the modern world. Education is the main wealth of the nation," he noted, adding that improving the quality of education is a key element of President Sadyr Japarov's policy.
The head of government also reported that in 2025, 16 new school buildings will be put into operation in the region. Starting from April of this year, an increase in teachers' salaries is planned, and opportunities for increasing the incomes of healthcare and cultural workers are also provided.
Kasymaliev emphasized that the construction of new educational institutions and reforms in the field of remuneration must be interconnected with improving the quality of the educational process.
"A strong education system is the path to the country's development," he concluded.
