The forum organizers noted that, despite the high level of the submitted works, not all films were able to find a place in the competitive program. "We sincerely thank everyone who submitted their films and appreciate the interest in our event," they added.
The competition features films made by directors from Uzbekistan, Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Japan.
The XIII International Young Cinema Forum "Umут" will take place in Bishkek from March 3 to March 7, 2026. This event aims to support young filmmakers and promote their works, including film screenings, pitch sessions, and master classes.
