Registration Process for the Test
Applicants can register for the testing through the updated platform on the website of the Center for Educational Assessment and Learning Methods (COOMO) at https://testing.kg.
Graduates of the current year will be able to register through the mobile application "E-kündölük" (electronic diary).
For graduates of previous years, registration will be available on the COOMO platform using authorization through the unified information system "Tündük".
Detailed instructions can be found on the center's website.
Required Documents
- original passport or ID card;
- mobile phone number;
- color photograph that meets the established requirements;
- payment of the ORT registration fee using a unified QR code;
- graduates of previous years must have their certificate or diploma of secondary education with them.
The specified phone number will be used not only for registration but also for participation in admission competitions for universities in Kyrgyzstan.
Cost of Participation in the Testing
In 2026, the cost of the test in the state language increased to 470 soms, which also applies to the main test and each subject test.
Payment of the Registration Fee
This year, a unified QR code for the payment of the registration fee has been introduced, allowing the use of any electronic wallet, avoiding a trip to the bank.
Payments can also be made at "Eldik Bank", through the "O!Bank" or "MegaPay" applications, and then the payment receipt should be provided to the person responsible for registration for the ORT or the check number and amount can be entered in the personal account.
Who is Eligible to Participate in the Testing?
- 11th-grade students of general education schools or final-year students of secondary vocational educational institutions;
- graduates of general education schools (secondary vocational educational institutions) without higher education and not studying at universities;
- individuals with higher education can take the ORT provided they are enrolling in a university for full-time study in fields where other forms of study are prohibited;
- citizens of Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, and Tajikistan wishing to study on a grant from the Kyrgyz Republic based on international agreements;
- individuals with secondary education from other countries can take the ORT to participate in competitions for contract places in universities in Kyrgyzstan.
Why Take the ORT?
Since 2012, passing the Nationwide Testing has been mandatory for admission to all universities in the country, regardless of their ownership forms.
Starting from 2026, admission to secondary vocational educational institutions based on basic or secondary general education will also be conducted based on the results of the ORT.
Choice of Subject Tests
Applicants wishing to enroll on a budget or contract basis must take the main test and the test in the state language.
The results of the test in the state language do not affect the competition for admission to universities; however, the ORT certificate cannot be issued without passing it.
Some faculties require subject tests, which are conducted in physics, mathematics, chemistry, biology, history, English, Kyrgyz language and literature, as well as Russian language and literature.
Any number of subject tests can be chosen, but the principle "the more, the better" does not apply here.
Typically, to receive a referral, it is sufficient to pass one subject test.
For medical universities, it is necessary to take two tests — in chemistry and biology.
There are specialties where additional tests conducted by the university may be required. For example, applicants for architecture or urban planning must pass creative tests, and future law enforcement officers are required to take physical education and undergo a medical examination.
Having a specialized subject test gives the applicant an advantage when applying to relevant fields.
Who is Exempt from the ORT?
Some specialties in universities of culture and arts, as well as certain specialties in physical culture and sports, do not require ORT results for admission.
Who Will Not Be Able to Take the Test?
Applicants without identity documents who registered for the ORT will not be allowed to take the test.
If an 11th-grade student (final year of college or technical school) has not reached 16 years of age and does not have a passport, an original certificate with a photo of the student and its electronic copy, certified by the signature of the school director and the seal, can be used as identification.
Last year, there were cases where applicants attempted to take the test with gadgets or take the test for others. In such situations, participants are disqualified, and their results are annulled.
When Will the Testing Take Place?
Registration for the ORT will last until April 2, and the testing itself is scheduled from May 16 to May 23.
Those outside Kyrgyzstan must register one day before the testing begins, having all the necessary documents.
Awards for the Best Applicants
Every year, a ceremony is held to award applicants with high results from the ORT. The top 50 participants (or more in case of tied scores) receive gold certificates, allowing them to enroll in any state university for a budget place without competition.
Participants of the ORT who score threshold points will be able to participate in the competition for admission to the university. In 2026, the threshold points are not planned to be raised, keeping them at the level of the previous year.
