According to the specialists, the creation of an electronic registry for patients with various stages of CKD was previously discussed by the Center for Electronic Health. However, after its disbandment, this issue remained unresolved.
Doctors emphasize that the absence of a registry complicates:
- effective monitoring of CKD progression,
- timely routing of patients for transplantation,
- planning for dialysis and transplantation resource needs,
- monitoring the implementation of the state transplantation program.
Specialists insist that the relevant department of the Ministry of Health complete the development and launch of a unified database for accounting CKD as soon as possible, ensuring its integration with the dialysis and transplantation registries.
It has been previously reported that there is a constant increase in the number of patients with chronic kidney disease worldwide. According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health, more than 4,000 citizens of Kyrgyzstan are receiving hemodialysis, for which 2.5 billion soms are allocated from the state budget.
Doctors point to poverty, labor migration, and insufficient public awareness as reasons for the low motivation of patients to undergo preventive examinations, as well as a lack of commitment to timely diagnosis and treatment.
