Part of the avenue will remain accessible to vehicles
Starting from February 24, the southern side of Deng Xiaoping Avenue in Bishkek is scheduled to be closed for repair work, as reported by city hall representatives.
The length of the section where the work will be carried out is 4.458 km.
The beginning of the road modernization is related to the necessity of replacing old water pipes. The project also includes the dismantling of the existing road surface, widening of the roadway, updating of curbs, and laying new asphalt.
We remind you that similar work was carried out on the northern side of the avenue last year.
The repairs will be completed in three stages, and the opening of each section will occur gradually over the course of a month.
