The First Deputy Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan has resigned

Aibek Matkerimov, who holds the position of First Deputy Minister of Health, has decided to resign. This information has appeared in several media outlets citing their sources.

It is reported that this morning Matkerimov said goodbye to his colleagues and announced his intention to resign voluntarily.

No official order has been issued regarding his removal from office.

Matkerimov was appointed to his position in December 2025, simultaneously with Ryspek Sydygaliev, who was detained today by the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).

Aibek Matkerimov was born on November 8, 1980. He graduated from the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after Iisa Akhunbaev, as well as the International University named after Kantoro Toktomamatov and the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation (RANEPA), where he obtained a master's degree in public administration for executives. Previously, he also served as a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh of the VII convocation and was awarded the title of Honored Doctor of the Kyrgyz Republic.
