Recently, the premiere of the trailer for the feature film "Illegal: Through Mexico" took place, which is a large-scale action drama about the complexities of illegal migration through Mexico, as reported by the producers.

According to the creators, this project is the result of the work of the team that made the film "Heaven Under the Feet of Mothers," which received positive reviews from audiences and significant public resonance. The new film elevates Kyrgyz cinema to a new level in terms of genre and production scale.

"Illegal: Through Mexico" is the first action drama filmed in Kyrgyzstan, but with locations in South America, including jungles and other hard-to-reach natural places. The filming took place under challenging conditions, which added realism, tension, and scale to the film.

The film addresses a difficult topic that many prefer to remain silent about. It shows the real cost of the illegal path through Mexico and the fates of people willing to risk their lives to achieve their goals. It is a narrative about borders—both external and internal, about the price of dreams and the resilience of the human spirit.

The film was directed by Ruslan Akun, and the main roles were played by Emil Esenaliev, Zhakhan Utargaliyev, Aisanat Edigeeva, Rauan Akhmedov, and Abilaykhan Ainabekov.

A significant aspect of the project was international collaboration: the participation of Kazakh actors expands the geography of the film and enhances its regional scale.

The premiere of "Illegal: Through Mexico" in Kyrgyzstan is scheduled for March 19. After the national release, the film will be available in theaters in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and other countries.
