At the meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on industrial policy, transport, fuel and energy complex, architecture, and construction, the Minister of Energy Talaybek Ibraev reported that the transition to digital receipts has saved 40 tons of paper.

According to the minister, the implementation of digital technologies in the energy sector is already yielding tangible results.

“Previously, we sent paper receipts for electricity to subscribers, but now all procedures are carried out through the 'My Light' app. The savings in paper are obvious. Additionally, after the introduction of smart meters in 2022-2023, the number of inspectors was reduced by 416 people, resulting in savings of 290 million soms,” he added.
