- There has been no electricity in our building for a day. An employee of the Eastern RES informed us that the transformer is not under their jurisdiction and suggested that we purchase the parts for its repair ourselves. It also turned out that the transformer was flooded with water. This is unacceptable and poses a danger to us. The RES could have connected us to alternative power sources, but this did not happen. We are left in the cold at a temperature of -5 °C.More than 50 people live in our building, including the elderly and children. We have no way to even boil water for tea or prepare food. Electricity is our only source of heat, and it is currently turned off.

- We feel ignored by the Eastern RES. Winter is here, and we can't even have a cup of tea to warm up. The long wait only exacerbates the situation and drains our mobile balance. How can one be indifferent to those living in a building with small children and elderly people?Response from the Bishkek Electric Networks
Representatives of the Bishkek Electric Networks informed Kaktus.media that their emergency team has visited the site twice. However, as specialists found out, the transformer substation and cables are not on the company's balance sheet and do not fall under their responsibility.“During the inspection, flooding of the transformer equipment was discovered, as well as the presence of jumpers in the cable line. Today, specialists went out again to check and monitor the situation. To prevent further complications, considering the weather conditions, the employees suggested carrying out repair work to restore electricity as soon as possible. However, the company’s warehouse does not have the necessary spare parts. All resources are accounted for as working capital and are issued strictly according to invoices in accordance with balance ownership,” the press service stated.
At the same time, the Bishkek Electric Networks expressed their readiness to provide assistance within their competence to resolve the emerging problem.
